Terms of Use
Last updated October 19, 2026
These terms apply to the CareerHawk iOS app and the services behind it. By creating an account, using auto-apply or buying a plan you agree to them. They add to, and don’t replace, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which covers the app itself.
What CareerHawk is
CareerHawk collects publicly listed remote software jobs, scores them against the technologies you choose, and, if you ask it to, fills in and submits application forms on those employers’ websites on your behalf. CareerHawk is not an employer, a recruiter or an employment agency, and has no relationship with the employers whose jobs it shows.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 to create an account or use auto-apply.
- Keep your login details to yourself. Anything done with your account is treated as done by you.
- Everything in your profile, your answers and your résumé must be true, about you, and yours to share. CareerHawk never guesses an answer; it sends what you entered.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Account → Delete account).
Auto-apply
When you start the free applications, or buy a plan, you authorise CareerHawk to act for you: to choose jobs that match your profile, complete the employers’ application forms with your profile, answers and résumé, accept the employers’ standard application notices where you’ve told it to, and submit those applications in your name. You don’t pick the individual jobs. Each application is as binding on you as one you submitted yourself, and it can’t be withdrawn by us once sent; contact the employer if you need to withdraw it.
CareerHawk does not guarantee that any application is received, read or answered, that you will get an interview or a job, or that any particular number of applications will be sent. Plan allowances are maximums; how many applications go out depends on how many suitable jobs with a form we can complete exist for your profile during the period. A form that can’t be completed is skipped and does not count.
Plans and payment
Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions bought through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. A subscription renews at the end of each period (a week for Go Mini, a month for Go, Plus and Max) unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends; your Apple ID is charged within the 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next charge; your plan, and the applications that come with it, keep going until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting your CareerHawk account does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Unused applications don’t carry over, and we may change plans or prices for future periods with notice in the app.
Using the service fairly
Don’t use CareerHawk with a false identity or someone else’s details, to apply for jobs you aren’t eligible for, to send anything unlawful or misleading, or to interfere with the service or with employers’ websites. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that employers’ sites reject, and may limit auto-apply to keep the service working for everyone.
Employers and third parties
Job listings come from employers’ public job boards and may be wrong, out of date or withdrawn. Applications are submitted through the application form the employer publishes for that job; CareerHawk isn’t affiliated with, or endorsed by, the employers or the job-board and applicant-tracking services they use. Once an application is sent, the employer holds it under its own terms and privacy policy, and we have no control over what happens next. Payments are handled by Apple, emails by Resend, hosting by Railway and Hetzner, and optional résumé auto-fill by OpenAI; our Privacy Policy explains what each receives.
Liability
CareerHawk is provided as it is, built and run by one developer. To the fullest extent the law allows, we’re not liable for lost opportunities, lost earnings, or any indirect loss arising from the app, from an application we sent or didn’t send, or from an employer’s actions. Our total liability to you for anything else is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and doesn’t let you waive.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date above; continuing to use auto-apply or renewing a plan after that means you accept the new terms. Questions go to [email protected].
